Energy Adds New Turbine - The Greenville News – October 11,
2006 - On Tuesday, Duke Energy commissioned two new
combustion turbines at the Lee Steam Station in Anderson County. The
new turbines, which are replacing three existing turbines, are expected
to be operational in early November. The primary purpose of the new
turbines is to provide backup emergency power to the Oconee Nuclear
Station.
Caliber Engineering Consultants provided the
civil/ site engineering design and permitting for this design-build
project.
